Business Travel Requirements for a Taiwan, China Visa for Chinese Citizens
Mandatory Digital Arrival Card Requirement
All travellers to Taiwan are required to apply for a mandatory
Online Arrival Card before arrival. The Online Arrival card can be applied for
here free of
charge.
The following categories are not required to submit
an Arrival card:
Registered residents
in Taiwan (including permanent and alien residents)
Foreign
national holding diplomatic ID card issued by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign
Affairs
Please note that the Online
Arrival card is not an electronic visa, it is simply an electronic form
replacing the paper form that travellers had to fill out before arrival.
Passport
The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:
Have at least two consecutive blank visa pages
Be valid for six months beyond exit date
Not be damaged in any way
Proof of Residency
Evidence of Hong Kong residency. This must be shown as a copy of Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID) OR Hong Kong Visa.
Photograph(s)
You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:
Be taken within the last six months and printed on high quality photo paper
Be taken against an all white background
Be 35mm by 45mm
Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
Your photos should not be affixed to your application or display evidence of adhesive or staples
Business Introduction Letter
You must provide a Business Introduction Letter from the applicant's Hong Kong employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a Hong Kong postal address.
Note that most consulates require the Business Cover Letter to be dated within one month of application submission.
Letter of Invitation
A letter of invitation from the applicant's host. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:
Include the full name, address and contact details of the host
Specify the purpose and duration of stay
Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
Be signed by the applicant's host
Proof of Travel Arrangements
This must be provided as a copy of the flight confirmation showing each applicant's name and the onward/return travel
Visa Application Form
One fully completed and signed application form. This must:
Provide the CIBTvisas Order Form included in this kit.
Polio Vaccination
If you have resided in or visited Afghanistan, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan, Madagascar, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Republic of the Congo for four weeks or longer in the past year, you must provide a Polio Vaccination Certificate.

When is the best time to apply for my Taiwan, China visa?
The best time to apply for your Taiwan, China visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. However, if you are running short on time, we may be able to process your visa on a faster service at the Embassy’s discretion.
Do I have to send you my passport to get a Taiwan, China visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Taiwan, China visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.
